A valuable opportunity working with a rapidly growing local accountancy firm in the West Midlands, with potential for personal growth and an array of learning opportunities. You will rotate around the office, developing various business administration skills, as well as basic data entry and other ad-hoc duties. At WCC we pride ourselves on maintaining a consistent level of growth, both in size and knowledge, which reflects our forward thinking and proactive approach to accountancy. We hope that all applicants will bring their own passion and drive to the role, allowing them to expand with us.

The key responsibilities and duties are as follows:

  • General office administration
  • Answering the telephone and transferring calls to relevant members of staff
  • Marketing and social media
  • Data entry and reconciliations
  • Software and compliance training
  • Basic HR tasks and other ad-hoc duties
  • All applicants are expected to have excellent IT skills, especially knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Experience is not essential as training will be provided

  • All applicants are expected to have a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade C+ or equivalent

Future prospects

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, there is potential for further employment to be offered branching further into the field of bookkeeping and accountancy.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.70 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
